A national framework built around local usefulness
Hub for Communities is a South African network of locally moderated regional hubs, beginning in Langeberg. 2 regions are currently active.

The original idea
Make local information easier to find and safer to share.
Useful local information is often scattered across messages, posters and separate sources. The Hub gives residents one organised website where current items can be found again.
In each active region, residents can choose a local view, browse practical needs and submit information for moderation. A verified public Channel is offered only where that region’s approved distribution mode includes one.

Hub for Communities
Built nationally. Operated locally.
The framework is national, while every live hub remains regional. Langeberg is the founding region. Each new region activates only after its local scope, sources, human moderation, consent records and distribution mode are ready and owner-approved. Private submissions and contact details remain within their server-selected regional operating boundary.
