Operator and acceptance

Hub4Communities and Langeberg Community Hub are operated by Emille Van der Merwe as a sole proprietor from Montagu, Langeberg, Western Cape, South Africa. These terms govern use of the site. By sending a submission, you expressly accept these terms and the Community Rules. If you do not agree, do not submit information.

02

Free launch service

The current website provides free community information, directory applications and moderation intake. It does not take payment, place an online order or conclude a paid advertising contract. Paid electronic transactions remain disabled until a genuine physical address for legal service, supplier details, full pricing, payment and cancellation terms, and applicable consumer rights are published.

03

Submissions and permission

You must submit accurate information that you are authorised to share. You keep ownership of your content. You give the Hub a non-exclusive permission to review, verify, edit for clarity, and—only if approved and consistent with your consent—publish or distribute the submitted content through relevant Hub channels. Private contact details remain private unless you separately permit publication.

04

Adults, children and photos

A submitter must be 18 or older. Children may not use the public form directly. If a submission necessarily identifies a child, only the child’s parent or legal guardian may provide it and must give prior, specific consent. The public form accepts no photos. Any later request for an identifiable child photo requires separate written parent or legal-guardian consent and may still be declined.

05

Moderation and publication

Every submission may be checked, clarified, edited, delayed, redirected, rejected or removed. Submission does not guarantee publication, timing, ranking, reach, sales, employment, safety or accuracy. Clearly promotional content may be labelled. Payment, if introduced later, will never buy verification or guaranteed publication.

06

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the form or network, evade rate limits, impersonate another person, submit unlawful or misleading content, infringe rights, expose unnecessary personal information, or upload or send malware. The Hub may restrict access and preserve limited evidence where reasonably necessary for security, moderation or legal compliance.

07

Third-party services

WhatsApp, municipal, employment, grant and other external links are operated by their respective providers. Their own terms and privacy practices apply. A verified destination link does not make the Hub responsible for the external service, transaction or content.

08

Safety and service limits

The Hub is not an emergency service and does not provide legal, medical, financial or official municipal advice. Information may become outdated and service may be interrupted. Users must verify important facts with the original source and contact the appropriate official service in an emergency.

09

Law, changes and contact

South African law applies. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that law does not permit the Hub to exclude. Material changes will be dated on this page and apply prospectively. Questions or disputes should first be sent to langebergcommunityhub@gmail.com so they can be addressed fairly.
